The Bible
We believe in the verbal inspiration of the Holy Scriptures, equally in all its parts and without error in its original manuscripts. The Bible is the only infallible rule of faith and practice. 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Revelation 22:18-19
God
We believe in One God, eternally existent in Three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who created all the universe and man by a direct and immediate act. Matthew 28:19-20; John 3:34; 14:16; 16:15; Acts 2:33-36; Hebrews 11:3; Revelation 4:11
Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His pre-existence, incarnation, virgin birth, sinless life, substitutionary death for the sins of mankind through His shed blood, burial, bodily resurrection and ascension to the Father. We believe in His personal return to earth to reign in power and glory. Isaiah 7:14; 9:6; Matthew 1:20, 23; Luke 1:35; John 1:1-3, 14; Philippians 2:5-11; Colossians 1:15-20; Hebrews 1:12
Mankind
We believe that the whole human race fell into sin “in Adam”, the head and progenitor of mankind, and that because of sin, man is depraved and in need of individual salvation by grace alone, through faith in Christ’s substitutionary sacrifice through His shed blood, burial and bodily resurrection. We believe in the effectual call of God to salvation and the eternal security of every believer who is “in Christ”. Genesis 3:1-13; Leviticus 17:11; John 10:27-29; Romans 5:12-14, 17-20; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Ephesians 1:6; 2:8-9; Philippians 1:6; Romans 10:9-10; Titus 3:5-7; Revelation 1:5
Satan
We believe in the reality of the person of Satan, the enemy of God and mankind. We believe that his defeat is sure and certain. Genesis 3:1-15, cf.; Revelation 12:9-10; 20:1-10; Job 1:6-12; 2:1-7; Matthew 4:1-11; 2 Corinthians 11:11-13; 1 Peter 5:8,9
Resurrection
We believe in two resurrection; one of the saved and one of the lost: they that are saved unto eternal blessedness in God’s presence, and they that are lost unto eternal damnation, eternally separated from the presence of God, in the Lake of Fire. The first resurrection, which is made up of two events, the Rapture and the Resurrection of Old Testament saints, is both imminent and pre-millennial. The second resurrection will take place just before the Great White Throne Judgment. John 2:28,29; 1 Corinthians 15:50-57; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17; Revelation 20:4-6, 12-15
The Church
We believe in the spiritual unity of the universal church, which is the Body of Christ and comprised of all those who are “in Christ” through the baptism of the Holy Spirit and growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We Believe we should be constantly being filled with the Holy Spirit who indwells every believer and be separated from worldly attitude and practices thus giving a witness of the saving grace of God. Acts 2:40-42; Romans 12:4-6; 1 Corinthians 12:13-17; Galatians 1:22; 3:27; Ephesians 2:21-22; 4:11-13; Philippians 1:1; Colossians 1:1-2; 1 Thessalonians 1:1; 2:14
We believe in the local church as an autonomous congregation of believers with gifted men as pastors. The local church is comprised of “born again” individuals endowed with spiritual gifts by the Holy Spirit for the purpose of mutual edification for the work of the ministry. Local churches gather together to study the Word of God, to pray, to worship and to fellowship. John 3:1-3; Acts 2:41-42; 1 Corinthians 12:13-27; Ephesians 4:11-13;
We believe the local church is to observe two ordinances. They are the ordinances of baptism and communion. These are ordinances that symbolize our position “in Christ” and are practiced as a declaration and memorial, not as a sacrament. Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 8:29-39: 1 Corinthians 11:23-34
We believe the local church has been given a commission from the Lord Jesus Christ to go into all the world preaching the Gospel, baptizing believers and teaching the whole counsel of God to all the saved. Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15; Luke 24:46-48; John 20:21; Acts 1:8
The Gospel
We believe the gospel is the “good news” of redemption from sin through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, who through a substitutionary death paid the debt of sin. The gospel is the offer of salvation to all people who, because of their inherited sin nature, are doomed for judgment and hell.
The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ constitute a legitimate offer of salvation from a holy God to sinful mankind.
Salvation bears the fruit of a changed nature and spiritual discernment. Matthew 28:18-20; John 3; Romans 3:23; 6:23; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8; 2 Corinthians 5:17
