Our Purpose:

Grace Mission to Haiti's mission is to encourage, equip and enable Christians and churches in America to come alongside indigenous Haitian churches in their efforts in evangelism, church planting, Christian education; feeding the poor and healing the sick by praying, sharing material provisions and participating in short term ministry trips; and providing humanitarian needs benefiting the Haitian church.  I Corinthians 3:9

 What we believe:

DOCTRINAL STATEMENT

1.  We believe in the verbal inspiration of the Holy Scriptures, equally in all its parts and

     without error in its original manuscripts. The Holy Scriptures are the only infallible rule of

     faith and practice.   2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 2:20-21; Revelation 22:18-19.

2.  We believe in One God, eternally existent in Three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,

      who created all the universe and man by a direct and immediate act.   Matthew 28:19-20;

     John 3:34; 14:16; 16:15; Acts 2:33; Hebrews 11:3; Revelation 4:11.

3.  We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His pre-existence, incarnation, virgin birth, sinless

     life, substitutionary death for the sins of mankind through His shed blood, burial, bodily

     resurrection and ascension to the Father. We believe in His personal return to earth to reign

     in power and glory. Isaiah 7:14; 9:6; Matthew 1:20,23; Luke 1:35; John 1:1-3, 14;

     Philippians 2:5-11; Colossians 1:15-20; Hebrews 1:1-2; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18;

     Philippians 3:20-21.

4.  We believe that the whole human race fell into sin “in Adam”, the head and progenitor of

     bodily resurrection. We believe in the eternal security of every believer who is “in Christ”.
     Genesis 3:1-13; Leviticus 17:11; John 10:27-29; Romans 5:12-14, 17-20; 1 Corinthians

     15:3,4; Ephesians 1:6; 2:8,9; Philippians 1:6; Romans 10:9,10; Titus 3:5-7; Hebrews 9:22;

     10:4,10; Revelation 1:5.

5.  We believe in the reality of the person of Satan, the enemy of God and mankind. We

     believe that his defeat is sure and certain. Genesis 3:1,15; cf. Revelation 12:9-10; 20:1-10;

     Job 1:6-12; 2:1-7; Matthew 4:1-11; 2 Corinthians 11:11-13; 1 Peter5:8,9.

6.  We believe in two resurrections; one of the saved and one of the lost They that are saved

     unto eternal blessedness in God’s presence, and they that are lost unto eternal damnation,

     eternally separated from the presence of God, in the lake of fire. The first resurrection,

     which is made up of two events, the Rapture and the Resurrection of Old Testament saints,

     is both imminent and pre-millennial. The second resurrection will take place just before the

     Great White Throne Judgment.  John 5:28,29; 1 Corinthians 15:50-57; 1 Thessalonians

     4:13-17; Revelation 20:46, 12-15.

7.  We believe in the spiritual unity of the universal church, which is the Body of Christ and

     comprised of all those who are “in Christ’ through the baptism of the Holy Spirit and growing

     in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We believe we should be

     constantly being filled with the Holy Spirit who indwells every believer and be separated

     from worldly attitudes and practices thus giving witness of the saving grace of God.
     Acts 2:40-42; Romans 12:4-6a; I Corinthians 12:13-17; Galatians 1:22; 3:27; Ephesians

     2:21-22; 4:11-13; Philippians 1:1; Colossians 1:1-2;
     1 Thessalonians 1:1; 2:14.

8.  We believe in the local church as an autonomous congregation of believers with gifted men

     as leaders. The local church is comprised of “born again” individuals endowed with spiritual

     gifts by the Holy Spirit for the purpose of mutual edification for the work of the ministry.

     Local churches gather together to study the Word of God, to pray, to worship and to

     fellowship. Acts 2:41-42; Romans 12:4-6a; I Corinthians 12:13-27; Galatians 1:22;
     Ephesians 1:1; 2:22-23; 4:11-13; Philippians 1:1; Colossians 1:1-2; I Thessalonians 1:1;

     2:14.

9.  We believe the local church is to observe two ordinances. They are the ordinances of

     Baptism and Communion. These are ordinances that symbolize our position “in Chnsr and

     are practiced as a declaration and a memorial not as a sacrament.
     Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 8:29-39; 1 Corinthians 11:23-34.

10. We believe the local church has been given a commission from the Lord Jesus Christ to go

      into all the world preaching the Gospel, baptizing and teaching the whole council of God to

      those who believe. Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15; Luke 24:46-48; John 20:21; Acts 1:8.
